What to Expect During your Appointment with Dr. AlRawi
Office visit
Please arrive 15 minutes early to your first appointment to enable you to complete all required patient intake forms.
During your initial consultation, complete personal, medical and family histories are gathered including many lifestyle information regarding diet, vitamin and mineral supplements taken, sleep patterns, exercise regimen, stress, bowel habits, mental and spiritual outlook. If pertinent, some standard medical diagnostic tests may also be obtained. Once all information is collected, an individualized natural treatment protocol will be devised. Your individualized treatment program will be gradual and can be adapted as your health improves. As your program will involve lifestyle changes such as exercise, stress reduction, changes in eating habits, as well as the use of supplements and herbs, you must make a commitment to the process of getting well.
Your first appointment with Dr. AlRawi will take approximately an hour and a half. Follow-up visits last between 45 minutes and an hour, and involve a continuation of the treatment plan as well as an evaluation of progress. Follow up visit length and frequency can vary depending on the treatments required, for instance, acupuncture protocols are much different than homeopathic protocols.
Cost
According to the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians (AANP), sessions with naturopathic physicians are about half the cost of visiting an M.D. Initial office visits with Dr. AlRawi are $159 and follow up visits are $75. The prescribed supplements are usually vitamin, mineral, herbal, and or/homeopathic. Each of these supplements is far less expensive than prescriptions filled at the pharmacy. Naturopathic doctors are well trained in preventive medicine. Preventing illness and preserving health can mean long term savings for you and your family.
Please provide Dr. AlRawi with a 24-hour notice should you elect to cancel or reschedule your appointment. There will be a $25 fee for missed or cancelled appointments made without a 24-hour notice.
Insurance
Our office does not bill insurance. Payment is expected at the time of service via Check, Cash, Visa or MasterCard.
Naturopathic medical visits are being covered by more and more insurance plans. If your insurance provider reimburses for naturopathic medical visits we will give you a form with appropriate codes to enable you to file for reimbursement of fees.
