As we move into the light, growth and hope of spring, we are gifted with the opportunity to begin anew. The long rest of winter provides us with the energy needed for this time of renewal and rebirth. The Northern hemisphere, as she emerges from her winter slumber, is stirring with new life. I hear songbirds in the trees, I see red winged blackbirds by the river, I feel the warmth of the sun as I walk, I smell a freshness in the air, I taste the lighter energizing foods of spring as I embark on my annual spring cleanse, I observe my garden transforming on a daily basis. As I witness these messengers of spring I feel the stirring of a new song deep within. I consciously plant thoughts of love and blessing into the fertile ground of my mind. I am grateful for the cycles and seasons of our lives.
