COVID-19 Closure

In order to protect the most vulnerable members of our community, Kaizen Healing Arts will be closed until at least July 6th, 2020. Although I know that our sessions are deeply healing for both of us, at this time the risks outweigh the benefits. I need to do my part to reduce the potential spread of COVID-19, flatten the curve, and shield vulnerable people in our community.

Aside from the recommended coronavirus precautions, here are some things you can do to support your health during this time:

  • Get enough sleep. Even if your schedule has changed I suggest you maintain good sleep hygiene by being consistent in your sleep/wake times, and avoiding large meals, caffeine and alcohol before bed.

  • Meditate daily. Now might be a good time to establish a regular meditation practice or intensify an existing practice. Even if you don’t meditate, it is beneficial to stay present with what is happening in the moment.

  • Eat healthy. Take time to cook, using fresh ingredients as much as possible. Strengthening foods include soups, stews, roasted veggies, and fermented foods.

  • Move! Be creative in how to find more and new movement during this period. See links below for Qi Gong videos.

  • Be in nature. When possible, I highly recommend spending more time outside among the trees, listening to the birds, and breathing in fresh clean air.

I truly hope to serve you again in person soon. In the meantime, please keep yourself safe and as healthy as possible. Treat your body carefully and address any illness at the first symptoms. I urge you to take a moment everyday and feel the interconnection between all beings that this pandemic brings to light. If you need help, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.
